Business Development
Mastering difficulties – boosting growth. The desire of large companies to expand brought an industrial upswing after 1986 – this effect accompanied the relocation of entire manufacturing plants to new areas. After all activities were complete, an investment amount of a quarter billion DM had been used and about 1,000 new jobs were created.
The Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Interior published a pilot study on ensuring business locations and the stabilisation of a diversity of interests. This study included the city of Bretten’s industrial and commercial space upswing as model for municipal commercial space management. Promotion of business growth in Bretten means a move away from traditional regulatory administration which could no longer keep up with the complexity of the tasks at hand. In the face of pressure of demands, a new type of bureaucratic attitude developed in Bretten – a move away from “reaction” to active promotion of development combined with an open approach. In Bretten, administrative offices such as the Urban Planning and the Business Departments – which previously worked separately and without direct contact with each other – have now been successfully connected. This results in fruitful coordinative efforts in providing services. The experience the city has gained clearly shows the level of solid information available about companies located in Bretten – and this information forms a part of accompanying policy of continuance.
Within the Bretten Muncipal Offices, the Department for Business Development and Real Estate serves as your central, expert contact partner. The Office is able to help you quickly and without bureaucratic complications; they will address your concerns seriously and are committed to solving them. This especially applies to companies who intend to settle, relocate or expand to Bretten.
